Rowan

Rowan is a vibrant Cambridge charity, providing a unique arts centre for adults with learning disabilities. Since 1984 we have offered a safe, creative, enriching and welcoming environment where the arts are used as a tool to bring people together, reducing loneliness, helping to tackle social exclusion, whilst developing potential and improving happiness, health and wellbeing.

We run a wide range of creative workshops, including woodwork, ceramics, textiles, print, mixed media, drama and music. In 2020 we launched ‘Rowan Rangers’, our very own Forest School.

We approach life as an adventure, with humour, passion, optimism and fun and aim to make every day interesting, enjoyable and fulfilling by providing choices and a sense of purpose for local people with learning disabilities.

Rowan is a social enterprise. All our artwork is made by student artists in collaboration with our tutors. As a result, each piece is unique. All income generated from sales is used to support our work at Rowan.
