Out of the Ordinary Festival

Spectacular, fantastical, fun-filled, colourful, acrobatic, gravity-defying, breathtaking, unforgettable…Out of the Ordinary outdoor arts festival is back for 2025!

Celebrating its third birthday in style across the August Bank Holiday weekend, Cambridge is set to see some startling sights as some of the very best performance artists arrive in town, on a mission to entertain.

As well as taking place on the city centre streets, there’s also lots to see on Christ’s Pieces near the bus station, where people can relax, eat and drink and watch fantastic performance artists. There will be extraordinary acts, visual comedy shows, music and dance as well as wellbeing activities and some fantastic local food vendors.

Local dance schools, musicians, artists and performers will also be taking to the streets and to Christ’s Pieces over the weekend to showcase their talents. On Saturday, the dedicated music stage, presented by Cambridge BID, will feature several young local bands, all part of the Junction’s music development Fiver programme. And on Sunday, as part of Folk in the City, young and emerging singer-songwriters will have the chance to perform live.
